Write for Investment Sense
March 15, 2011

If you have strong technical writing skills and are proficient in investing and trading topics, consider writing for Investment Sense.

Articles should be one of several types:

  1. Strategy development - develop, test and present a stock strategy. If it is a signaling system, it must be run on a minimum of 6 randomly selected securities. If it includes screening, it must be applied on all major US exchanges for a minimum of 20 years or over a minimum of 6 randomly selected start points. In all cases, the tests must collectively comprise a minimum of 5,000 bars. A minimum of two criteria in addition to ending profit and profit rate must be provided, such as Number of bars in winning trades, maximum percentage drawdown, etc.
  2. International economy - Analyze some facet of the international economy and relate it back to investing. For example, if you think there will be deflation, present evidence supporting this claim and how investments might be impacted, such as lower prices, higher volatility, volume changes, etc.
  3. Indicator development - Create a new indicator and show how it can improve a reader's trading results. Show charts demonstrating the indicator in use.
  4. Debunk a myth - Show how a commonly held belief is not substantiated by facts. Quote at least two examples of the belief being espoused from a major news source (e.g. Wall Street Journal, Newsweek). Show all, or a genuine random sample, of the cases found of the particular assumption, then give statistical evidence debunking it.

We pay $0.07 per word plus $5 per chart. In addition you get an author's bio area (up to 40 words) and a link back to the site of your choice.
